The Balfour Declaration: November 2, 1917
During the First World War, British policy became gradually committed to the idea of establishing a Jewish home in Palestine .
After discussions in the British Cabinet, and consultation with Zionist leaders, the decision was made known in the form of a letter by Arthur James Lord Balfour to Lord Rothschild.
The letter represents the first political recognition of Zionist aims by a Great Power.

I have much pleasure in conveying to you, on behalf of His Majesty’s Government, the following declaration of sympathy with Jewish Zionist aspirations which has been submitted to, and approved by, the Cabinet.
“His Majesty’s Government view with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people, and will use their best endeavours to facilitate the achievement of this object, it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country.”
I should be grateful if you would bring this declaration to the knowledge of the Zionist Federation.

Today, November 2, the Balfour Declaration is 91 years old.
Israel has not had a moments peace since.
Wonder why?
The leader of the Arab movement, King Faisal, even supported this declaration when it was referred to in the Faisal-Weizmann Agreement of 1919. Go figure.
The Declaration, received legal status when incorporated in the resolutions voted, incidentally — unanimously July 24, 1922. by ALL the 51 members of the League of Nations.
The United States, despite not being a member of the League, joined the resolutions as the 52th nation.
At least The League had the wisdom and honesty to recognize the “historical connection of the Jewish People with “Palestine” and therefore, the justifiable grounds for REconstituting their national home in that country.
As a matter of fact, The Balfour Declaration wasn’t all that different from the promises of independent statehood that were made to many other stateless nations by the British, French and even Americans at that time.
The modern state of Poland was reestablished in 1918 as were some of the other states of Eastern Europe.
The alleged “Arab states” didn’t even exist yet. Most of them were part of the Ottoman Turkish Empire. 
But isn’t it curious that there is no longer any dispute about the legitimacy of any of the other states that were established in a similar way except for… guess who: Israel.
Perhaps someone ought to remind Hussein Obama about this pesky lil declaration while his campaign despicably continues to cover for the latest in a string of his ahem..anti-semitic .”friendships” and associations..This time with former PLO “spokesman” aka Jew hating terrorist sympathizer : Rashid Khalidi.
The co-founder of the Arab group in question, Columbia University professor Rashid Khalidi, also has held a fundraiser for Obama. Khalidi is a harsh critic of Israel, has made statements supportive of Palestinian terror and reportedly has worked on behalf of the Palestine Liberation Organization while it was involved in anti-Western terrorism and was labeled by the State Department as a terror group.
Yea. the Good ole Senator helped fund an organization that rejects ‘racist’ Israel’s existence.
Shocker eh. NOT.

Hi Angel,
I am a bit frustrated. We have a new friend that comes to the Church Plant we attend in Florida. He is an Isralie that served in the armed forces there. He is a Rabi that recently converted to Christianity, but well read in the bible, especially the Old Testament (of course). He claims that in Israel he is a conservative and loves Bibi, but is a Democrat in the states and just voted (early) for Obama. I tell him that Obama will desert Israel and he says that Bush already has and that we have armed his arch enemy Iraq and in the end he expects Israel will have to stand alone anyway. I said I didn’t believe that but not withstanding, in the end he wouldn’t be just standing with the USA (with Obama) but that Obama would likely stand against Israel. He is deeply entrenched………….what is with this?

How Stupid Can People Get?
The 2008 race for the Democratic nomination for the presidency looks like a classic pursuit of the Moron Vote. This seems crude to say, so perhaps we should call it the “mentally challenged vote” or the “clueless vote”.
Why do I term it so? Consider where the winning Democratic candidate, Barak Obama, stands on issues most Americans care about. In numerous cases he takes positions that seem based on the assumption that voters are idiots, or else those positions show a serious lack of understanding on his part. On second thought - and in the interest of striking a blow at political correctness - let’s stick with the title as-is.
But then again we find people like the one that runs the blog below…

What will happen tomorrow is still an unknown, even though the media likes us to smell an early Obama victory, the “Bradley effect” that Karl spoke about can and does happen behind the closed curtain.

Obama couldn’t get a job as a bus boy if he put on his resume the little information that he has given the American people. “Change” isn’t a skill or a quality. It is only fluff. Americans have only themselves to blame. It is sobering to see that the American voting public is so far down the road to Socialism. It’s a sad sad day for America and the world.
