Israel’s “Disproportionate” ResponsE..AgaiN

Money Quote of the Day:

I condemn Israel’s disproportionate attack on Hamas because, so far, it has only lasted four days and I would like to see a proportionate response that terrifies Hamas for seven years, the years that have filled Sderot and neighboring towns with nightmares, death, amputations and trauma coming from rockets and mortars fired from Gaza.

Israel’s Response Is Disproportionate

Perhaps a proportionate response would have Gaza’s leaders fearful of being killed every day for the next two years, as Gilad Shalit has been terrified of torture and death every day for the last two years in his solitary Gaza dungeon.

A proportionate response would have Hamas mothers and fathers as fearful for their children’s lives as Shalit’s mother and father have been fearful for Gilad’s life.

A proportionate response to Hamas, one might gather from the European scolds, would be as if the United States, after Pearl Harbor, would bomb just a few Japanese fishing boats and call it a day, believing the war would have ended with that.

And now a “Truce” with Ham-ASS rabid dogs is being suggested by the US and EU?

Yea. We got yer truce right here.

Look around you friends.
350 dead, Ham-ASS terrorist, jihadis warrants demands for a “truce”, and outcry from nearly every nation on the planet but 195 dead innocents, (not to mention sexual torture and cold blooded killing of a handful of Jews) in Mumbai is worth….um….dead silence.

General Anthony Clement McAuliffe (July 2, 1898 – August 11, 1975) was the United States Army general who commanded the defending 101st Airborne troops during the Battle of Bastogne, Belgium, during the Battle of the Bulge in World War II.

He is famous for his single-word reply to a German surrender ultimatum: “Nuts!”

On second thought, Israel…Agree to a ‘truce’, you know, like a 24 hour ceasefire, wait about 5 hours, then bomb the blank out of anything that moves in Gaza.

Because according to the ‘fair and balanced media and world opinion’, killing terrorists (when Israel does it..) is called ‘genocide.’

And you can bet your last camel that’s all you’ll be “reading” and hearing about for the next few weeks.

The “victims”..Uh huh.

Disproportionate my tuchus.

In the game of war: He who has the biggest, baddest toys WINS!

The world said nothing when Sderot was attacked daily for 8+ years, but let Israel drop a few bombs in 4 days and we hear the words: Holocaust and Genocide.

I wonder what they would be screaming then if Israel did some real serious bombing?

Terrorists plague Israel for years; I srael tries to defend its people. Holy moly how can anyone with a right mind and a decent soul criticize this.

I guess I answered my own question.

    Pardon me Gazilians…
The Israelis take their lesson from the USA, see note:

The atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were nuclear attacks near the end of World War II against the Empire of Japan by the United States at the executive order of U.S. President Harry S. Truman on August 6 and 9, 1945. After six months of intense fire-bombing of 67 other Japanese cities, the nuclear weapon “Little Boy” was dropped on the city of Hiroshima on Monday, August 6, 1945 , followed on August 9 by the detonation of the “Fat Man” nuclear bomb over Nagasaki. These are to date the only attacks with nuclear weapons in the history of warfare…

I’ve got your disproportionate right here!!!!!!

  9. Khaki Elephant says:

I am so sick of this “disproportionate” crap. What, they’re supposed to stop after they kill 17 terrorists? That’s not how you deal with these thugs. You destroy their ability and will to launch rockets at schools and synagogues!

And where was the call for cease fire when Hamas was targeting civilians?

Well, despite the times, I hope you have a wonderful New Year, my friend.

I can only say: I STAND BY ISRAEL!!

Happy New Year, Angel. Keep spreading the word!!

    It’s called terrorist rights.

I kind of like your “cease fire for 24 hours then 5 hours later bomb the shiite out of them”…except about 12 hours into the cease fire obliterate ‘em.

Happy New Year! We live in fascinating times…..2009 is going to be verrrrrrrrry interesting.

  12. Brooke says:

I’m glad Israel passed on the ‘two day truce’ crap.

I rather like the idea of a PROPORTIONATE response!

    Happy New Year, Angel!

  13. benning says:

A proper proportionate response would be for Israel to blanket-bomb Gaza with those li’l bunker buster bombs. Make all of Gaza jump! Up, up, and away!

Have a Happy New Year, Toots!

“(not to mention sexual torture and cold blooded killing of a handful of Jews)”

Actually, now the MSM don’t even mention that anymore, it’s like the murders never even happened.

And yeah i agree, i think the response has been disproportionate, kick the lot of them out.

Wow Angel, what a difference in the first of your post and the second half. Amazing. If the Muslims would act like they live in this century rather than in caves, still rampaging and cutting off heads, etc., maybe we all could enjoy the first half of your post.

    Happy New Year.

it truly amazes me how there are people (and there are many) who can’t see the truth that Israel has a right to defend herself.

  20. Mustang says:

    Disproportionate my . . . you know.

Fact: The Israelis have offered Arabs opportunities for peaceful negotiations too many times to count. A normal person might wonder why the Arabs refuse to negotiate in good faith, but an astute individual already knows why. By refusing to negotiate, and by continuing to “dare” Israel to do anything in response to terrorism, Arab leaders gain and retain power and influence over hundreds of thousands of illiterate and patently stupid “followers.” Those Arabs with any brains at all know better than to stand up to Hamas—their lives depend on remaining mute.

In a recent poll, 57% of respondents said that Israel is the problem, and that Israel is using excessive force upon the Palestinians. We might wonder how it is possible for so many westerners to form opinions against Israel’s right to defend itself. We might question the intelligence of anyone who suggests that “measured responses” ever solve any armed conflict—particularly those lasting sixty years (in modern history). In my view, this disturbing phenomenon illustrates how successful the liberal media and UN enablers have been in shaping public opinion. I personally think the UN should follow the Hippocratic Oath: First, do no harm. In other words, the UN should shut the hell up. As for the press . . . my only amazement is that anyone with half an ounce of brains gives those liberal nitwits any credibility whatsoever.

  21. Wingless says:

Proportionality is an oft misquoted and abused term. Whenever Arabs claim they are dying in proportionally greater numbers (aka the “disproportionate response” myth) I have to scratch my head – did they miss Grade 5 math?

Proportionality is a measure of scale, it’s a relative term – in this case, proportionality refers to the NUMBER OF CIVILIAN DEATHS RELATIVE TO THE TOTAL POPULATION. As in: if I kill 300 out of 3,000,000 and you kill 1 out 300, then YOU will have killed more proportionally.

That said: Even with Gazans willingness and longing for death (ever wonder why their soldiers sleep in dense apartment blocks filled with women and children?) the Jews still die in greater numbers proportionally than Arabs. Even if you take all of World Jewry (after all, the Hamas Charter NEVER refers to Israelis, it refers to Jews & Infidels – worldwide) – you are looking at a religion that no longer registers in the top 10 by population (there are more Jains and Animalists than Jews!.. Makes you wonder how we countrol the world, bloody efficient I guess… lol)

Powerful words like “Genocide” & “Holocaust” have come to signify events where a large percentage of a total population is exterminated. Again: it’s a measure of scale – the Arabs have not lost 1% of 1% of 1%…of their populations… To claim Genocide or to utter the term Holocaust is an affront to legitimate massacres throughout history.
