ReWalk: AnotheR Israeli InventioN

While Muzlims are still killing and crippling people worldwide..
.
Israel is doing what she does best:

An Israeli invention now allows paraplegics to walk.

The ReWalk enables people with lower limb disabilities to carry out routine ambulatory functions (stand, walk, climb stairs etc.).

It can be used by people with disabilities such as spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy and other severe walking impairments.
The device promises to restore the dignity of disabled persons, enabling them to work and improve their general health and quality of life, as well as significantly reduce medical and other related expenses.

Haifa-based Argo Medical Technologies ReWalk

I wonder if the UK will boycott this latest invention eh?

It consists of a robotic suit, which is strapped onto the body at the legs.
Users wear a backpack which holds a light computerized control box.

With the proper command, the robotic control lifts the user out of their seat.
With the push of a button, the user starts taking his first steps.
Another button even allows users to be seated.

Imagine the hope and miracle this offers to those suffering from life-altering paralysis.
The possibility of regaining their mobility.

Especially paralyzed veterans in Israel and America.
Extraordinary.

Israel: Another day. Another Miracle.

Oh, but One thing it won’t do — is help the moral and intellectual “cripples” on the Left.

Good advice for us all, not just the libs in that last image.

As for the ReWalk, what a cool invention. I’ve seen prosthetic limbs for amputees that allow people to walk nearly normally, but I haven’t seen a device that helps paraplegics before. If I’d thought about it I would have expected Honda to have come up with that, since they’ve managed a “walking” robot.

Score another point for Israel. Awesome news Angel!

  2. Kristina says:

I have another one! Don’t drink Koolaid!

Isreal comes up with so many great things. People all around the world ignore the amazing things Isreal has done. Of course.

  3. Greywolfe says:

Can anyone name the last time Muslims invented anything of socially redeeming quality? Nope, me neither.

  4. Debbie says:

The advice for libs is great.

  5. Perri Nelson says:

    Re Greywolfe:

How about the Arabic numbering system, the concept of zero, and algebra? OK, maybe these weren’t actually Muslim inventions, but Western Civilization would probably still not be using them today if it weren’t for the works of Muhammad ibn Mūsā al-Khwārizmī.

They didn’t actually invent algebra, but Muhammad ibn Mūsā al-Khwārizmī is considered by many to be the “father of algebra”.

al-Khwārizmī didn’t invent the concept of zero either, but he is one of the first to explain it well, introducing the concept to Islamic civilization long before Western Civilization recognized it and used it.

Our numbering system that we use today was called Arabic numbering for ages, because of the work of al-Khwārizmī. Today it’s called Hindu-Arabic, because it was actually invented in India.

Nevertheless, the Islamic people were using all of these things long before Western Civilization crawled back out of the dark ages.

Simply because we have an ideological disagreement with militant Islam is no reason to believe that they never made any lasting contributions to civilization.

Know your enemy — don’t just dismiss them.

  6. Brooke says:

That is wicked cool! Go, Israel!

  7. Greywolfe says:

great! the last time Islam gave anything of use to the world at large was, what? Circa 850A.D.? I’m thinking that all the forward thinkers’ gene pools were killed off in goat raids.

  8. Greywolfe says:

And I’m not dismissing anything they MIGHT have done in the dim recesses of history. I’m asking what has this peace loving, beautiful religion of Islam done in recent memory to help mankind? Beutiful throw rugs don’t count.

  9. Joe Gringo says:

    Perri,

great contribuions indeed but around 1300 years have gone by since.

Angel. What a great invention, great things when when people are given freedom.

  10. Tim says:

Well if you’re constantly getting bombed by terrorists and your best ally the U.S is about to sell you out you have to start inventing things like this for the survivors.

  11. Perri Nelson says:

    Re Greywolfe, Joe Gringo…

I believe the question originally asked, which I answered was “Can anyone name the last time Muslims invented anything of socially redeeming quality?”

The fact that it was 1300 years or so ago doesn’t change the validity of my answer, with regards to the question as it was asked. Nor does it change my point… don’t simply dismiss your enemy/opponents simply because you can’t think of anything they’ve done.

Yes, it’s quite difficult to think of any positive contributions to the world from Islam during more recent times. That doesn’t invalidate the idea that these people aren’t ALL fools. Nor do the hideous things that some adherents to Islam have done recently support the argument that they’re ALL evil.

There are a few Muslims that believe in tolerance and support peaceful coexistence with other religions. While it may be difficult to find them, and even more difficult to get them to willingly speak out against radical Islam, they do exist. They just face overwhelming pressure from Islamic extremists to keep quiet.

But isn’t this all simply side-tracking the issue that Angel brought up in the first place? Isn’t it better to look at the good things that Israelis have brought into the world than to fight about what Israels opponents have or haven’t done to better the world?

Restoring dignity and mobility to paraplegics is only slightly short of miraculous! We should be thanking God for Israeli inventiveness rather than bemoaning the lack of contribution from a corrupted faith.

  12. joe says:

There are a LOT of paraplegics out there that will call this the best creation “since sliced bread”, and they will be understating it. Good job Israel!

Muslims have a relatively new invention, the suicide vest. It allows the wearer to have complete use of his/her hands, at least until detonation. It also ensures that he/she will get a good shot at obtaining those promised virgins.

    Advice for libs:
    10. Don’t piss in the wind
    11. Don’t eat yellow snow

  13. KarL M says:

Great piece of writing Angeel…thanks much for the “eye opener”.
    It is useless to try to evaulate the contribution to society by Jews…one needs only to read the statements by Mark Twain;
“The Jews have the best average brain of any people in the world. The Jews are the only race who work wholly with their brains and never with their hands… They are peculiarly and conspicuously the world’s intellectual aristocracy.”
    - Mark Twain’s Notebook
(i do believe the “hand” reference may have changed)
Certainly the European Union will include this item in their “MUST BOYCOTT” list of products…..

  14. OMMAG says:

If you count the perfection of rock throwing or the ability to contort any event or fact into either an insult to Islam or a justification for violence then Muslims have done a lot these last few decades.

  15. Batman says:

Awesome invention…I hope many will truly benefit.

  16. Pasadena Closet Conservative says:

Thanks for turning us on to this incredible innovation. May God continue to bless them all.

  17. MK says:

“I wonder if the UK will boycott this latest invention eh?”

If the Jew-haters there had any shame, they’d boycott it and hobble along.

Good on ya Israel, like you said, while many muslims are busy blowing people’s limbs and heads off, Jews are trying to save them and make their lives better. And yet much of the world loathes them, go figure huh.

  18. Katie says:

Rewalk should be on the market in 2010. It is going through final tests in Israel now. Rewalk will not be cheap, it has the pricetag of $20,000 each. Which is the same cost that a mechinized, custom wheelchair has.

  19. Stanford Matthews says:

For those seeking reference to the mini-debate I view between Greywolfe and Perri may I suggest ‘The Ascent of Man’ by Jacob Bronowski and a little known narrator at the time by the name of Anthony Hopkins.

As for the invention, that’s remarkable. While I have seen a number of devices that implied state of the art advances this one is truly impressive.

To the lib list I predict that as long as Roe v Wade remains the number of libs having babies will continue to decline as true conservatives do not abort their children.

  20. EDGE says:

Very cool device! God bless Israel!

    ;)

  21. Gayle says:

Excellent work as I always expect from you, Angel.

Stanford is right. Libs will sooner or later do themselves in by having abortions, while true conservatives will continue to bear children. It may take awhile, but their foolish ways will backfire on them. :)

  22. Tim says:

Unfortunately Gayle I think the libs foolish ways will backfire on all of us.

  23. American Crusader says:

Fantastic innovation. Now they need to improve for quads…
    Everyday brings hope.

  24. zionlover says:

ISRAEL is the heart of the world, put any flat world map on the floor and check out the center and you will see ‘little, humble, from desert to oasis, innovative, caring, compassionite, Israel’ (talking about the people not the leadership rolemodels).
Thank you ANGEL for your everlasting support of the Jewish state.

  25. Seane-Anna says:

    Israel! What a country!

  26. z says:

    “don’t have kids”. GOOD ADVICE.

wonderful contraption for the crippled there..thanks for letting us know. xxx

  27. trespassers william says:

    Just wondering what this is all about;

“Still photographers were also not given access to Obama’s do-over oath of office administered Wednesday night by Chief Justice John Roberts…”

Why does the Great Oz need a “do-over Oath”, is this standard?

    http://townhall.com/news/us/2009/01/23/news_access_issues_concern_those_covering_obama

    We need to find out.

  28. joe says:

They botched it so bad the first time, it was a possibility that it wasn’t even legal. I wonder if he thought to resign everything he did on day one??? Otherwise, it may not be legal either!

Looks like something I could use!
