“WASHINGTON — All 150,000 coalition troops in Iraq will undergo refresher training in “core warrior values” over the next month as top military commanders deal with the fallout from allegations of a Marine massacre last November.

Army Lt. Gen. Peter Chiarelli ordered commanders Thursday to show troops in Iraq — more than 130,000 of them Americans — slides that depict professional military values and the importance of disciplined conduct in combat.

As many as 24 Iraqi civilians died in Haditha after a bomb killed a Marine on Nov. 19. The incident has spawned two investigations: one to determine whether the Marines committed crimes and another to see whether there was an attempted coverup. Lt. Col. Carl Ey, an Army spokesman, said the allegations against the Marines prompted the training.

It’s important that troops “take time to reflect on the values that separate us from our enemies,” said Chiarelli, the No. 2 U.S. general in Iraq.”

Oh…you mean actions and beliefs such as these?

AMMAN - Almost 50 per cent of Jordanians find it acceptable for a man to strike his wife is she insults him, according to a survey published on Wednesday.

“There is widespread acceptance of domestic violence by husbands towards wives,” said the 2005 Communication Partnership for Family Health (CPFH) Baseline Survey, published on the CPFH website.

“Respondents were asked whether a husband is justified in hitting or beating his wife in certain situations that might lead him to become angry,” it said.

“Nearly half of all respondents, regardless of age or marital status, report that it is acceptable for a husband to hit or beat his wife if she insults him,” the survey found.

Values that separate us indeed.
Some of us recall the recent attacks on American soil and still find it difficult to get beyond the horror and shock of what has happened. We do not require self-haters and Liberal apologists reminding us to engage in serious reflection on the sources of violence against the United States. We KNOW what it is.

The Libs must be in all their glory.
What we will see in the next weeks, perhaps even months, will be further investigations, possibly arrests of Marines and intense speculation about which groups are responsible for the fatalities of civilians and how the United States should respond.

The usual array of retired generals and military analysts will be trotted out to explain the tactical elements of this unique war as well as their favored military response, which will invariably be honorable and above reproach.

For the Libs who like their hero’s and villains portrayed in simple dichotomies of good and evil, the U.S. Marines have already lost.
When innocent U.S. citizens are killed by bombs at U.S. embassies all over the world, or used as cannon fodder for suicide hijackings, the Libs remain muzzled.

I have an idea. Refresher training for coalition troops eh?

How bout the the world’s 1.2 billion Muzlims line up for “sensitivity training” and be forced to undergo refresher training in “values that separate us from our enemies” huh?

Let us begin with a quickie history review shall we?

1-The bombing of the USS Cole in October, 2000 that claimed 17 lives
2- the 1998 bombings of U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in which hundreds were killed.
3- the 1996 car-bomb attack on a U.S. barracks in Dharahan, Saudi Arabia that killed 19 Americans.
4- the 1995 car-bomb attack on an American National Guard Training center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia that took 4 lives.
5- the 1993 World Trade Center truck-bombing that killed 6 people and injured over a thousand others.
and last but oh so not least…..

Perhaps they may wish to speculate about their enmity towards America and Israel. Study the nuances of their fanatical and inherently anti-Western and anti-American world view?

To state the bloody obvious: There is no justification for horrendous attacks on innocent civilians, whether it be in New York or possibly in Haditha.
But perhaps Americans should be critically examining Muzlim actions instead of refusing to admit the flaws in their policies and fanaticism.

Why is it Liberals find it infinitely easier to demonize their own American brothers and sisters..Is it simply a way of diverting attention from their own inability to face the true “enemy”?
