Susan Boyle! Britain’s Got Talent Alright

Enjoy!

SHE lives alone with her ten-year-old cat, has never been kissed, and is teased by children in the street. But 48-year-old Susan Boyle could just be the UK’s next singing sensation.
Devout Catholic Miss Boyle has been at the centre of a media storm since news emerged of how she wowed Britain’s Got Talent judges Simon Cowell and Piers Morgan with her amazing opera voice.

Talented Susan looks to have the last laugh

Talk about grace under fire.singani.gif

Refreshing humility, isn’t it sweet friends?

“I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Miserables………….Ahhhhhhhh.
How bout that!

Neighbours told how Miss Boyle had been teased by local children who called her names because she lives alone with her cat Pebbles – but added that no-one was laughing now.

LOOKS LIKE A STAR IS BORN EH?starani.gif

Angel, when I went to play the video I got the message that it was “disabled by request”, so I went to You Tube and watched it from there. What an amazing voice. Her clarity is so utterly pure that it brought tears to my eyes!

I love to see someone who actually looks human make it good like that. I don’t know about your video, but on the one I watched there were women in the audience rolling their eyes when she said she wanted to be a famous singer. Those women are eating crow now! LOL!

I don’t much like opera, I didn’t care for that song, BUT, Susan Boyle did a beautiful job up on that stage. She sure shocked the audience and the panel of judges, whom I expect are all liberal jerks normally. The guys backstage said no one ever got 3 yes votes before.

  7. Emiel says:

Well its not opera, it’s a song from from a musical… And Piers a liberal?!?! Wow haha!

And people get 3 yes votes on this show all the time. But I think these were not just the 3 yesses from the jury, every sane person would say yes!

What an amazing character and what a voice!

I LOVE SUSAN! we need to start a fan club – she’s a peach! i’ve watched the vid five times and heard her on fox this morning and every single time i sobbed like a baby – happy tears!

  26. Maggie Thornton says:

I heard her say on FOX this morning that British idol found her. I really liked that. They gave her the opportunity to be heard, and undoubtedly, they knew she would be a sensation.

What a beautiful, beautiful voice she has, and not only that, her whole face is radiant when she sings. What a fabulous lady.

  27. Ajlouny says:

    She blew me away.

  28. bernieb says:

Makes one wonder how much talent there really is hidden in lonely apartments and poor neighborhoods.

I am not a fan of the show, but moments like this vindicate its usefulness.

  29. Always On Watch says:

Susan Boyle has an absolutely beautiful voice. In many ways, her physical appearance is homely — until she begins to sing. At that point, she transforms. Has anyone else noticed that transformation?

  30. Lisa says:

After what Susan has been through in her life, how can you dare call her homely. Her voice is magnificent! I do feel her time has come for some personal pampering. She deserves it! Anew hair dew, new clothes, and makeup. Not because of her current look, but because she has earned the pampering. I have been where she is and I know how it is. You neglect yourself in sacrifice for taking care of your parents.

  31. marie edwards says:

What a joyful time for all of us to listen to Susan! And to watch her face radiate as she sings! If she wants to change her looks and style. so be it but I hope she does not change it to pacify the people who think that looks are all that matters.

“how she wowed Britain’s Got Talent judges Simon Cowell and Piers Morgan with her amazing opera voice.”

Le Miserables is not opera and while Susan does have a lovely voice which may be great for Broadway – I love it – it is not an operatic voice not by any stretch of imagination.

The basic requirement for an opera singer is to be able to fill a large opera theater with his or her voice WITHOUT AMPLIFICATION! Susan’s voice while lovely would still not be heard beyond the end of the stage.

Being able to sing without a mike is only the very basic requirement. The perfect operatic technique, ability to sing incredibly challenging repertory – much more challening than Broadway, to express, to act is a requirement as well.

    Notice absence of microphones?
