Socialized Medicine: Uh huh.

Down a hospital hallway, a row of stretchers line the wall near the nurse’s station. On one of them is an elderly woman who’s in pain.

She has been waiting for four hours to get into a room with a bed, but there isn’t one available.
Ontario’s push to shorten ER wait times means patients are languishing in hallways, nursing groups charge

“This is an older person who’s really wanting to have some privacy and have a room where they can just relax in and they are being forced into a situation which increases their pain,” she said. “Some of them have been examined in the hallway and that’s embarrassing, some have had to be toileted. In emerg, you have cubicles, you have people behind curtains, it’s not the same.”

Welcome to SOCIALIZED MEDICINE: courtesy Hussein Obama.

Nationalized health care. YUP.
Uneducated, naiive Americans blindly buying into the “feel-good soundbites” they hear repeatedly. Ah yes…the new statist, socialist utopia will offer us ALL the solutions. NOT.

Rule #1:
Additional government intervention invariably makes the problem one thing: worse.

And by the way, spit out those trans-fat potato chips now!
Skulking and creeping socialism gives government bureaucrats the power to poke thier noses into even your personal eating habits for ..ahem…”the public good”.

Federal bans on profit incentive kills initiative, innovations, and medical breakthroughs.

Admit it or not…..The state creates ahem…”programs” which subsequently force one segment of the tax-paying population to pay for the health care of another.
What does that do you ask?

It creates incentive alright.
The incentive to avoid taking personal responsibility for your own life and on top of it: to make others suffer the consequences.

Aw. Too bad. Get in line.
Say H’lo to your new little friend: the Federal Welfare State.

I really, really, really HOPE that this doesn’t happen!
We haven’t had insurance in years and the last thing we need is government run healthcare.
I wish people would wake up and smell the socialism, why do so many want to give up their freedom to CHOOSE???????

  2. Mojo Steve says:

Free healthcare, my butt. You get what you pay for. If socialized medicine is so great then why does everyone come HERE for treatments? My extended family in Canada gets crap care. The Brits get crap care and REALLY crap dentistry. All the “refugees” that scuttle into Germany have bankrupted their healthcare system…..

Besides, ain’t a damn thing free about free healthcare….who’s gonna pay for it? The TAXPAYERS… you and me.

  3. Debbie says:

Great images to go with your article. Socialized medicine is terrible, and ‘free’, nothing is free, somebody has to pay for it.

  4. joe says:

That woman had to wait in the hallway for 4 hours? They’re geting better then. It used to be a lot longer than that.

Just one more area that he knows absolutely nothing about, but he will “fix” it anyway. Hey! Asshole! If it ain’t broke—don’t fix it!

  5. z says:

well if THIS isn’t a post built around a great picture! That dart board is PERFECT, Angel! Super post….as some ask “Where will the Canadians go if we go nationalized health?” Yup.

  6. Jason says:

The illusion of life without consequences is very seductive, but it won’t last for long. Ignorance is bliss…for now.

  7. MK says:

Yep, we live in socialized healthcare, and i can tell you, if we can afford it we go to private hospitals. Socialized health is designed to give you poor quality, longer waiting times, higher taxes, less efficiency and less choice. That’s what happened everywhere. And it’ll happen in America too.

  8. nancz says:

i will NEVER understand WHY it is so important to promote an NHS when only approximately 1/10 of our population is without healthcare benefits of some sort? most people who qualify already for state/fed benefits are receiving them already. the children and i have native american health benefits we’ve used ON OCCASION, but keep a dental/vision plan for our family and we don’t abuse our privileges.

  9. Always On Watch says:

Under nationalized health care, my recent cataract surgery would have been postponed.

After all, cataract surgery isn’t considered an emergency of any kind.

But in my case, I had strange proteins in the lens of my right eye, just as I had had back in 1984, when I had my first cataract surgery. And what happened back then? My surgery was postponed, as was typical and still can be typical, and I went through all sorts of complications — complications which are with me to this day and cause painful flare ups and drops in vision.

Now, I don’t deny that our health INSURANCE industry has issues. But our health CARE in America is excellent. BHO and this Congress are going to put an end to that excellent health care as they steamroll nationalized health care through by this fall. I’m convinced that’s going to happen. We’re caught up in a maestrom with this administration!

Socialized medicine is a nightmare in every country it has been tried. Why are liberals so stupid?

Oh I can’t wait for this!

Lots of good images and I’m digging many of the points.
Sadly even in the states the healthcare system is burdened by government interference and intrusion. I’ve seen stretchers in the aisles of a couple of NYC hospitals. As well as in Boston. Many times this is because the government pays the wrong entities to provide care or doesn’t pay at all. Then people end up clogging the ERs.
If this happens now how is a single payer system funneled through DC gonna work ?

  13. A Sick and Tired Republican says:

The government is not my parent. I am an adult as well and know what is right and wrong and can live my life without the Liberals of the country dictating to me. I know when to shut a light off and if and when I want to go on a long trip ans therefor use a lot of gas.. Screw the “Global Warming” brigade, and screw the ACLU as well. This is still American and I still can do what I want and when I want to do it. I don’t
need Barack Obama or Congressman John Conyers or Al Gore’s approval. And you can throw Obama’s wife into that sack of crap also. The American way of life is all but gone. John Conyers talks about Bush Lying America into War and HIS Campaign to Hold Bush accountable. But never about holding Clinton accountable, about catching and PUNISHING those who killed and attacked Americans world wide, as well as the first bombing of the World Trade center.. It’s no secret that Barack is a Marxist and what his agenda is. But that don’t seem to bother the Liberal bloggers. All the Liberals bloggers are concerned about is the fact that they OWN the White House and the Congress. So us Conservatives are screwed. Effective check and balance? What a joke.
What I’m going to say is just like the asswipes on the liberal blogs said, and call for the Impeachment of the sitting President, who we all can see now is an idiot. Lets run down his idiot-ness (is that a word?) and see how well he’s done in his first 100 days in office…

The Europeans, who were all lining up to take turns kissing up to the Messiah sucking up to him like a vintage Hoover vacuum cleaner have had an epiphany, and now are convinced that he’s an utter moron who doesn’t know his ass from his elbow about economics, foreign policy, domestic policy, etc, etc, etc, and is also completely clueless on how to properly treat a visiting head of state or foreign dignitary with the decorum that the position deserves. Us conservatives pointed out that he was a complete bumbling idiot, but the liberals wouldn’t listen, and accused us conservatives of trying to *steal* the election by scaring the world into thinking that he would ruin their economies. I guess we were right, but its rather a moot point, because the idiot got elected.
He has spent more, in the first 100 days of the presidency, than all of the other presidents COMBINED have spent in their first FULL YEAR in office. That’s impressive, only because we were told that it would be impossible to spend that much money in that short of a period because it would bankrupt the country, so all of us conservatives were told that we were just *being alarmists* and trying to win an election with our own moron by scaring the beJesus out of the population in order to *steal* the election from the Messiah. I guess we were right, but its rather a moot point, because the idiot got elected.
We conservatives pointed out that he couldn’t cobble together a coherent sentence on his own without the help of a staff of writers, and Teleprompters placed in a grid-like pattern in a radius of 50 feet, spaced two feet apart in any direction form the next available Teleprompter, so as to make sure the idiot wouldn’t stumble over the words, or forget his place. And even with all that, the idiot *lost* his place on the scrolling Teleprompter, and just babbled for 5 minutes while the staff tried to scroll the text back so that he could stop making an idiot of himself. Again, I guess we were right, but its rather a moot point, because the idiot got elected. Pretty impressive isn’t it!
He wouldn’t know an un-corrupt politician if said politician dropped to his knees and bowed to him… . His is the first presidency in history where the amount of overall appointments is running neck and neck with the amount of tax cheats he’s appointed. Us conservatives pointed out that OBambi was nothing more than a corrupt Chicago asswipe. I guess we were right, but its rather a moot point, because the idiot got elected.
We pointed out that he’s a gun-grabber, and he even turned the spotlight onto himself with the *clinging to religion and guns* statement he made, but the panty-wetters at the Brady Outhouse to Prevent you from Exercising your Second Amendment Right got their titty-nipples tied into knots and claimed that we were trying to scare the law-abiding citizens into not voting for him, in effect trying to steal the election by spreading false and vicious rumors. I guess we were right, but its rather a moot point, because the idiot got elected.

The list of stuff goes on, but I’m not going to bore the readership with the more mundane things that prove, beyond a doubt, that he’s a complete bozo, and an idiot who couldn’t find his behind with both hands and a map, a moron who demeans the office of the Presidency by going on late-night talk shows and yucks it up, laughing as he talks about how much money he’s going to be spending in order to *fix* the broken government that he *inherited*

And you Libs thought Bush was stupid? This guy is infantile. He’s way out of his league, and he may very well be impeached after the 2010 election by the wave of conservatives that will no doubt be swept into office.

And another thing… Shut the Mexico Border down. What is the deal?? Are we trying to spread this illness faster than wildfire?? You know the Mexican people are fleeing their country and running into ours! But Prez says, Duh!

Those who can should simply stop using health care services for about a year and see how that changes the debate.

One Brit blogs about socialized medicine:
    Here’s my tale:

I recently posted the rant below on my noticeboard site: Citizens and Neighbours. I’m re-posting it here for my forty or so loyal visitors who might have missed the memo.

But this very site has American readers and they need to be informed – as if they didn’t know already – what their Retard-in-Chief

has got planned for their sick and injured in the form of collectivized medicine.

Also I get to work out a personal grudge against the National Health Service and to publicize the bereaved Angus Dei’s campaign and as my dear, late, tormented, thrifty Northern mother taught me: waste not, want not.

Angus Dei tell the horrifying story of the death of Mrs Angus – at the hands of our beloved National Health Service: The Envy Of The World And What All Good Americans Deserve. He urges us to join this Bloggers Unite page

dedicated to exposing “all the horror stories of relatives and partners suffering injustice at the hands of the NHS, the Healthcare Commission and the GMC.”

I suppose that that must include me, then.

Going back to the mid-1970s when my father visited a GP to complain about stomach pains. He prescribed indigestion tablets for Dad: a man with a history of high blood pressure and shortness of breath and possessing the distinctive club fingers of those prone to heart disease. The doctor never took his pulse or checked Dad’s blood pressure. And away came Dad, and off we went to the chemist’s for the useless pills. He was having his first heart attack there and then in the clinic.
He lived through a year’s convalescence until he went out for a heathy stoll and never came back.

Oddly enough, that self-same surgery prescribed tranquillizers for the insomniac and grieving new widow, and so Mum was given Temazepam, which is “for the short-term treatment of sleeplessness in patients who have difficulty maintaining sleep…
Temazepam is officially indicated for severe insomnia and other severe or disabling sleep disorders. The prescribing guidelines limit prescribing of hypnotics to two-four weeks due to concerns of tolerance and physical dependence.”

The NHS was so thoughtful and caring that the original diagnosis was never reviewed and for 10 years this habit-forming drug was repeat-prescriptioned on the nod by a succession of incurious State-employed physicians with no interest in changing her treatment or even in questioning the growing illness and depression in an increasingly sickly and sleepless woman. In the end, someone noticed that it was doing her no good, but by the time she had signed herself into a mental hospital and been taken off Temazepam she was so sick and dispirited and messed-up by the drug and still a grieving widow that she decided that the bottom of the local river would be the quickest and best route to sleep, peace, and maybe to my father.

So do visit Justice for bereaved patients partners and relatives and read what it has to say – and use it, if you wish, to use Angus’s angry grieving page send the Health Secretary your heartfelt wishes…

The NHS got both my parents. Nuke from orbit.

As you may remember angel I lived 3 years in Canada. My son was born there. People dying in the waiting room every flu season. Waiting 3 years to have surgery on a broken ankle. The worst healthcare system in the world.

I have been putting up with a sniveling dumb bunny liberal on my blog who asks how any Christian can vote conservative, Angel. The idiots really do believe they are the compassionate ones. They are nothing but poster children for the success of liberal brainwashing, and their defense of socialized medicine and everything else proves it!

Ever been to the VA,no. Well if he passes socialized medicine you know what us Vets deal with. It isn’t the best.
