Al-Qaida in Iraq’s al-Zarqawi ‘terminated’
Terror group confirms death, vows to continue ‘holy war’
BAGHDAD, Iraq - Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the al-Qaida leader in Iraq who waged a bloody campaign of suicide bombings and beheadings of hostages, has been killed in a precision airstrike, U.S. and Iraqi officials said Thursday. It was a long-sought victory in the war in Iraq.
Gave proof to the night that our Flag was still there..
Make no mistake my sweet friends.
This was authentic American military in action, in all its effectiveness, and all its glory.
Since we unleashed our forces, Sadaam has been eliminated, thousands of future generations spared his rape rooms, torture and beheadings, and now Zarqawi, blamed for the beheading of foreign captives and the death of hundreds in suicide bombings, was killed in a raid north of Baghdad courtesy our very own troops.
Despite the risk of collateral casualties which accomanies any air strike, and despite Jack Murtha, our troops continue to crush the opposition.
The U.S. army reported that the attack on al-Zarqawi took two weeks to plan.
President George W. Bush hailed the killing of Zarqawi by military forces in Iraq, saying that Americans “can be justly proud” of U.S. fighting men and women.
Why celebrate?
First and foremost this presents a huge blow to the insurgency in Iraq. The operational head of Al-Qadea, the main man, the top banana was taken out by U.S. Armed Forces.
Raise your glasses to the U.S. Military and stand proud today to be an American. If this doesn’t boost your morale of good overcoming evil, my friends, I daresay - nothing will.
Since Sept. 11, 2001, the F-16 has been a major component of the combat forces committed to the Global War on Terrorism flying thousands of sorties in support of operations Noble Eagle ,Homeland Defense, Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and Iraqi Freedom.

Rush Limbaugh has having a blast now with the Dems and kook left going nuts in the negative over this fantastic news. Some writer at Daily Kos was going on about how this should have been a legal matter and the fact that the military blew him up “stands against everything I believe America stands for.” (paraphriase - I sure as heck ain’t going anywhere NEAR Kos to confirm!)
DL knocked off a funny earlier today about this and the predicted reaction from the left, and he wasn’t far off.
