Why Can’t we Just Get AlonG
Here’s why sweet readers.
Read it and weep. Then again…read it and arm yourselves with reality.
“PARIS, June 22 — Non-Mus-lim Westerners and Mus-lims around the world have widely different views of world events, and each group tends to view the other as violent, intolerant, and lacking in respect for women, a new international survey of more than 14,000 people in 13 nations indicates.
…one of its most striking findings, majorities in Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan and Turkey — Mus-lim countries with fairly strong ties to America — said, for example, that they did not believe that A-rabs carried out the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks in the United States.

Over all, Mus-lims in the survey worldwide, including the large Is-lamic populations in Britain, France, Germany and Spain, broadly blamed the West..
Mus-lims in the Middle East and Asia depicted Westerners as immoral and selfish..
Mus-lims attributed the poor relations with the West to a variety of causes. But many pointed to the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians as the main cause and accused the West of double standards on terrorism. (Huh?..sidebar by Angel..sorry for the outburst)
Pew asked respondents to give their opinions of Christians, Mus-lims and Jews, and it found anti-Jewish sentiment to be “overwhelming” in the Mus-lim countries surveyed. It reached 98 percent in Jordan and 97 percent in Egypt.
Disbelief was strong among Mus-lims that Ar-abs were behind the Sept. 11 attacks, with 65 percent in Indonesia and 59 percent in Turkey, for example, expressing that viewpoint.
Even in Britain, 56 percent of the Mus-lims surveyed did not believe that A-rabs carried out the attacks. The results, Mr. Kohut said, show that “many Mus-lims are still in denial” about something that even Osama bin Laden has acknowledged.”
Denial:
Denial is the psychological process wherein people protect themselves from things which appear threatening, by actually blocking knowledge of those things from their awareness.
It thus distorts reality, helps prevent pain and discomfort that the truth invariably brings.
So long as one refuses to see the consequences of his actions, then they can go on indefinitely without modifying their behavior one iota.
Whe one feels anger, fear, rage,shame, or isolation , instead of dealing with the emotions…they may simply “deny” the reality which they see as invoking those feelings.
Needless to say, the denial keeps them cold and cut off not only from themselves but from all others as well, as they can not connect on the level of reality and truth.
Among the the hallmarks of one in denial is “rationalizing”, namely: making excuses or giving reasons to justify their behavior.
Blaming (in this case the West and evil Israel of course) , thus insisting that the responsibility for the behavior lies somewhere else, not with them.
But perhaps the most telling one with Muzlims is their level of hostility.
Hostility and boundless rage occur when others mention the subject of terrorism or ask them to hold themselves accountable, or parody their actions in cartoons, or write books with somewhat opposing views. They threaten torture and death to the dissenters thus attempting to scare everyone into deadening silence or threatening people away from even having open dialogue about the issues.
But know this sweet friends.
Denial can radically distort perception and impair judgment. People can become convinced of their own bizarre falsehoods, self-deluded and no longer capable of an accurate assessment of reality.
And one more thing…….denial is progressive.
It will become increasingly more pervasive and entrenched the more one is forced to take responsibility or face who they “truly are.”
Admission and ownership of the problem is the first step of any form of healing.
So to all the culturally diverse apologists……..Take note.
Muzlims worldwide have not even stepped up to the plate.
When one begins healing..Denial is replaced by the truth and acceptance.

Unfortunately for the Muslim world, video tapes of their violence, intolerance and lack of respect for women (for example hanging a retarded girl in Iran because she was a repe victim… oh yes, ever so much respect - Not!!!) exists on hours and hours of videotape. Please ask Muslims to show videotape of Christrian rioters, destroying property and beheading people or calling for beheading people when Serranos Piss Christ was exhibited.

And that’s exactly why Islam will remain an open, supperating sore as long as it exists. If ever the truth of islam were allowed to lance the boil on the butt of humanity which is Islam, it would indeed heal… and be no longer Islam.

A little quote from the Wasington Post’s version of this same story, buried in the depths of the paper:
“Moreover, in what Kohut called a ‘gee-whiz’ finding, solid majorities of Muslims living in Muslim countries and in Britain said they did not believe that Arabs carried out the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, on the United States.
“‘It’s one of the finds that makes you realize that deep emotional feelings get in the way of facts,’ Kohut said.”
How about the Koran getting in the way of the facts???

Islam was founded on, and remains rooted in violence. Those “peaceful” Muslims that exist just aren’t good Muslims, its as simple as that. They thrive off of society’s understanding, and that’s how 9/11 happened to begin with. Though motives may have been wrong during the Crusades, the concept was something I could get on board with. I don’t think humanity and Islam are compatible. Period.

Yes. And unfortunately, it also tells us where liberals are at. They are absolutely “denying” reality. They refuse to accept it. They pretend instead that their biggest threat comes from “Global Warming,” and bury their heads in the sand. Remember the quote from Teddy Roosevelt, always remember this quote: “A pacifist feeds the alligator, hoping he will be the last to be eaten.” That may not be exact, but it’s close enough.
