“Thousands of people are attending the funeral of Eliyahu Asheri in Jerusalem.
The IDF confirmed early Thursday a report the Popular Resistance Committees issued from Gaza that it had executed Asheri, 18, of Itamar, who was kidnapped earlier this week in the West Bank.

Thousands attend Asheri’s funeral continues..

Hours after she was notified of her son’s death, Asheri’s mother, Miriam, told Israel Radio, “The pain is great, almost too great to bear. But one thing I feel, despite all this…is that in the wake of disagreements between our brethren, with our different worldviews and different relationships to the land of Israel that creates a lot of conflict, a lot of anger, a lot of argument – many times, I’ve asked G-d that he should first of all grant me love for everyone in my heart, and … that He should show me the special quality of the nation of Israel, and that I should succeed – that we should all succeed in loving each other…truly from the heart.”

Miriam said it became clear to her during the course of these trials and tribulations, how wonderful Israel really is. She expressed gratitude to all the people who called to offer moral support.”

Give sorrow words; the grief that does not speak whispers the o’er-fraught heart and bids it break.
William Shakespeare

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.

Sorrow makes us all children again – destroys all differences of intellect. The wisest know nothing.
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Dearest readers……Just remember Life may be fleeting but Love is immortal.

Blessings and healing to the Asheri family and loved ones.

May Israel and America have the conviction to “do what has to be done” to restore freedom and sanity to the world.

Our condolences go out to the families, the many families who have and will be suffering loss in these days to come. I too pray for the strength to love even my enemies.

But loving your enemies does not require that you let them perpetrate evil on you or on others. You can stop an evil-doer, with just force, and still love them. Indeed, you are loving them best when you stop them from their evil.

    The sooner the better…

I cannot improve on what Dumb Ox says above. It’s so sad to see yet another young life, full of promise, snuffed out so brutally by evil, hate-filled men.
