WomeN: GeT DresseD!

“..Wimbledon’s fashion police are on high alert, and are threatening to ban players from the storied grass courts of the The All England Lawn Tennis Club for wearing outfits deemed too revealing…

Wimbledon threatens crackdown on cleavage continues…

Wimbledon officials have reportedly cautioned competitors that they need to comply with the tournament’s strict and conservative dress code, or risk being disqualified…

The caution is no doubt an attempt to reinforce Wimbledon’s long-standing policy of insisting players wear almost exclusively white attire. But it is also believed to be directed at players such as Sharapova, Tatiana Golovin and Maria Kirilenko, whose tastes tend to lean toward more low-cut and revealing outfits than those traditionally seen at Wimbledon..

“There have been various outfits over the years that have caused everything from huge enjoyment to huge outrage, depending on your viewpoint,” Wimbledon tournament referee Andrew Jarrett told theTimes.”

It’s about bloody time.

O.K. sweet readers. Time to get “real” here.
Very, sexy, form fitting, revealing clothing worn by girls and women are done for one reason and one reason only.
To draw attention to oneself in a sexual way, and to cause boys and men to lust after you even if its only in their imagination.

What has become “norm”?… skin tight clothing, short skirts, plunging necklines, bare midriffs, skirts with slits up the side all the way to the waist, spaggetti straps that purposely reveal under garments.

And this is not promoting promiscuity and devaluation of women?
Please.

It says in Proverbs 7: Pr 7:10 “And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtle of heart.”

The attire of young women today is tantamount to that of a “harlot”.

What should a man “see” when observing a girl or woman, playing tennis, singing in a video, on a movie screen, or walking down the street?

Should he see someone who appears to be trying to tempt him sexually to “feed on her flesh”,and then get rebuffed or rebuked if he actually “notices”?..or should he be able to see her “character” and clothing that represents her inner being or perhaps even inner Godliness?

We mock those who quote Biblical passages and remind us not to put “stumbling blocks before our brethren.” And yet, we don’t place bourbon or gin in front an alcoholic loved one do we?

Men and women look and “touch” nowadays in complete denial of the undercurrent of sexuality.
The original Greek word for “touch” has the sense of “to light or to kindle”. In other words to start a fire. We all know (if we are willing to admit it) that even the slightest “touch” from someone we are attracted to can “get a fire going.”

Be spiritually wise.

Be spiritually responsible. Don’t put yourself in compromising situations.

If your’e singing in a video…….bring your voice.
If your’e acting in a film………..bring your skills.
If your’e playing tennis…………bring your best backhand.

Instead of your audience commenting on your breasts or buttocks…..

Ya never know…….you may even get some……. respect.

Well, “equivalent in effect or value” might be true. Truer would be to say, “dress just like a whore”.

    Seriously.

Young women (and sometimes not-so-young women attempting to deny age—”grups” perhaps) who dress like whores are surprised when they are treated like whores?

Of course they are. Because it’s an inherrent part of the growing stupidity of our (anthropologically speaking :-) ) “culture “.

More on this sort of thing tomorrow at twc, I think, in Mending Walls: Faith, Part 3…

On the edge of my seat David..heh..thanks as always for the inputs. :)

Angel, anymore a walk in the mall is like walking a red light district, only absent the active propositioning. The young girls down through ages 12 dress (is that what you call it?) with as much skin exposed as they can get away with. The top of pants and skirts (can’t call it the waist anymore because it doesn’t even come close to the waist line) are way too low. A good sneeze will bear all the wares. Hip huggers of the 60′s would be considered high water by today’s measure. To me it is much more intimate to view a woman’s sole and see the true inner beauty than to see all of her curves and body parts on public display.

Thanks for a sensible view of today’s lack of fashion sense. Keep up the great work!

  4. Angel says:

Thanks Old Soldier!..sigh…the times are sure a changin eh?..:(

  5. Old Soldier says:

Angle, you are a fountain for truth in a desert of depravity; keep the fountain full, lady! There are those that will drink and be satisfied.

  6. WordBearer says:

It is hard for me to disagree with you. Still I have to fight every male instinct in my body. When I go out to the mall and see these girls arrayed in their miniskirts and short shorts I think “If I had a daughter I would never let her go out dressed like that, but I am glad some guys do.” I know that is bad but I can’t help myself.

On a larger note I can’t help but feeling that the sexual revolution was the greatest trick men ever played on women.

  7. benning says:

I must agree with all of you! My natural male instinct is to howl, drool, and pant!

I work in a store, and the number of young women who come in, in this very public place, dressed just like the hookers in downtown St. Pete, are simply astonishing!

And their mothers are even worse! EGAD!

  8. Angel says:

Old soldier..those words meant the world to me…Thank You. :)

Wordbearer and Benning…thanks for sharing the honest male viewpoint..the world’s a bit sideways aint it?..:)

IT IS BEYOND SAD THAT THE ATTENTION OUR GIRLS/LADIES FEEL THE NEED TO ATTRACT IS BAITED BY THE FLESH.
IT IS PAINFULLY OBVIOUS, THAT THE PROPORTION OF UNCOVER IS INVERSELY RELATED TO THEIR SELF WORTH/ESTEEM..( MORE IS EXPOSED TO DIVERT THE ATTENTION TO THE PRESENCE OF NOTHINGNESS)..

  10. Lawman says:

Great post Angel (as always!). I posted a similar article on my own site a couple days ago. It’s rediculous how some girls choose to “dress” these days.

Don’t get me wrong, as a red-blooded male, I enjoy, um, admiring the female body as well as the next guy. On the other hand, I wonder how many rapes and sexual assaults start with the perpetrator being aroused by the scanty attire of his victim.

Dress like a whore, walk like a whore, talk like a whore…. why are girls surprised when they get treated like a whore?

  11. blogagog says:

Bah. Women wear basically the same thing they did 100 years ago. The only difference is 100 years ago, they put a dress on top of it.

  12. Angel says:

Thank u Karl M for the tip and your endearing words. :)
Thanks for stoppin by Lawman!. :)
    lol @blogagog…um..yea! :)

  13. Brooke says:

Girls need to remember what sort of man they are attracting when they dress in a way that garners nothing more than sexual attention.

The higher functioning men of our society (like Benning, Lawman, OS, David and anyone else here that I have forgotten) will control their natrual hormonal response. (Mine is to snicker.) The more morally loose men WILL NOT.

If one wants to be treated with respect, one has to comport oneself in a manner that commands it.

And BTW…. I know this is shallow, but I can’t help it.

Girls: Just because it’s made in your size doesn’t mean you should wear it, and just because you can squeeze into it doesn’t mean that it fits! If one isn’t stacked like a supermodel (and Lord knows I’m not) one shouldn’t dress as if they are. There are lots of ways to look truly attractive without wearing whorish clothing!

To me, a beautiful woman is a woman who exudes confidence and calm. Same for guys.

  14. Angel says:

Thanks again y’all for yer great insights..where would i be without ya?..Heh :)

  15. WordBearer says:

You make a great point Brooke.

One I saw a lady who was quite overweight wearing a miniskirt. That was the day I learned the relative nature of the term “miniskirt.”

  16. Lady Jane says:

It is so sad to see young, young girls dressing so provocatively! I hate it! When I was a little girl (not too many years ago), little girls were allowed to be little girls. Not any more!

  17. JW says:

I’m a female tennis player and constantly struggle to find tennis clothes that are at least reasonably modest. Does anyone know where I can find tennis dresses and/or skorts that are long enough to come close to the knee? I constantly buy in women’s sizes (the length is longer than in misses sizes) just to have the waist altered. This is soooo frustrating! Thanks for the opportunity to vent!
