Open Trackback Weekend

Some made.
Some kept.
We promise according to our hopes, and perform according to our fears.
(Francois duc de la Rochefoucauld)
Promise only what you can deliver. Then deliver more than you promise.
Half the promises people say were never kept, were never made.
Edgar Watson Howe
Promises are like babies: easy to make, hard to deliver.

“This above all: to thine ownself be true” (Hamlet I iii 78)
Do not make promises that you can not keep, my philosophy has always been to do not plan to far into the future you never know what emergencies might arise. If you tell someone that you are going to do something than do it. Even if that puts yourself out of doing what you had planed to do for yourself.
