Quebecistan

“It’s finally becoming respectable again to express support for terrorists.”
The rise of Quebecistan continues..So it has. On Sunday, 15,000 Quebecers, mostly Lebanese-Canadians, marched for “justice and peace” in Lebanon. That sounds benign, but in fact the march was a virulently anti-Israel rally, and scattered amongst the crowd were a number of Hez-bollah flags and placards. Leading the parade were Bloc Quebecois chief Gilles Duceppe, Liberal MP Denis Coderre, PQ chief Andre Boisclair, and Amir Khadir, spokesman for the new far-left provincial party, Solidarite Quebec.
All four politicians had signed a statement by the organizers the day before the march, in which Israel is lambasted for its depredations in Lebanon, Gaza and the West Bank — but the word “terrorism” is never mentioned, nor Hez-bollah assigned any blame for the war.
In their speeches at the conclusion of the march, Messrs. Coderre and Duceppe did not condemn terrorism, did not mention Israel’s right to defend itself, and spoke only of Lebanese civilian suffering…”
There are at least 50,000 Lebanese-Canadians in the Montreal area. We can expect those numbers to swell as Hez-bollah-supporting residents of southern Lebanon cash in on their Canadian citizenship and flee to the safety of Quebec.
Under the circumstances, it may be politically convenient for some left-wing Quebec politicians to stoke fires of enthusiasm for Hez-bollah — an organization officially classified as a terrorist group by the Canadian government. Yet it would be disastrous for the future of the province.
Their cultural and historical sympathy for A-rab countries from the francophonie — Morocco, Algeria, Lebanon – joined with reflexive anti-Americanism and a fat streak of anti-Semitism that has marbled the intellectual discourse of Quebec throughout its history, has made Quebec the most anti-Israel of the provinces, and therefore the most vulnerable to tolerance for Is-lamist terrorist sympathizers.”

Ahhh.
How quickly we forget.
Quebecois crisis over ‘anti-Semitism’
“Yves Michaud, a veteran member of the Parti Quebecois, started the controversy when he said last week that Jews are not the only people to have suffered. ..
He also characterised members of a leading Jewish organisation, B’nai Brith, as terrorists and anti-Quebec, and went on to say that Jews think they were the only ones who have suffered throughout history.”
Ah yes, B’nai Brith..that violent terrorist organization. Pffft!
Quebec seems to be France’s mini-me, it’s demon seed and so, affected with the same pathologies.
Sure, allow Quebec to declare independence, so that sh-ari’ah law can replace the existing order in the, debt-ridden, predominantly French- (soon to be A-rab) speaking nation.

“Quebec seems to be France’s mini-me” … you are correct. That place is a dead weight on the country, and nothing would make us happier, out here, then to see a trench dug around it, and it pushed into the ocean. …… Like you guys, were trying to deal with a lot of things out here….

I’ll be blogging about Canada soon. These guys piss me off. As a U.S. citizen currently attending school in Canada, let me say that I find all of Quebec to be appallingly immoral. These guys can’t make up their mind who they hate worse, us or Canada. They’ve been trying to succeed for years but can’t because they know the only way they’d survive is to join the U.S. That’ll be the day.

Angel, I sure hope Tim is right. We sure don’t need any more liberals down here! If I were to live in Canada, it would be Alberta. I’ve been exchanging comments with Ab long enough to know Alberta would be a good place to be up there. Besides, it’s gorgeous country. I guess all of Canada is pretty, but the liberals have ruined large parts of it just by being present. Just as they ruined San Francisco, which was once a city I really enjoyed. No longer!

The entire world itr seems has lost its mind and forgotten the lessons of the past. This is eerily similar to the rise of Nazi Germany. What worries me is that with Iran being al buddy buddy with North Korea, they may no longer be years away from getting a nuclear weapon. Thanks to Clinto era appeasment policies that allowed North Korea to developer nukes, they may be only a short flight away from one. Will it take a smoking crater were once stood Tel Aviv to make people realize the threat? Maybe one in Quebec, Madrid or Atlanta?

From the article: “On Sunday, 15,000 Quebecers, mostly Lebanese-Canadians, marched for ‘justice and peace’ in Lebanon….”
There will not be any peace in Lebanon with Hezbollah there!

Quebec is a sad place living on a history distorted by its xenophobia. Quebecers are descended from a France that had no idea how to run a colony, had no interest in New France, and allowed it be looted by its own corrupt officials. It has not changed one iota since the British got fed up with the depredations of French and Indian attacks on its own colonies to the south, and whipped the French in battles around the world.
Canada needs to decide whether or not Quebec is a part of the nation or a seperate nation. If a seperate nation, it should be walled off from the rets of Canada to keep Canada safe from the coming terrorist invasion.
I’m just sayin’.

As one who’s ancesters can be traced directly to Quebec’s founding fathers, with statues of relatives in Montreal’s parks, I have this to say about Quebec - it stinks!
Montreal has shifted from a beautiful city with at least 24 major Catholic Churches to a city of cultural diversity with a morality that is typified by open Satan worshiping in the downtown area.
Soon to be here if we allow them via illegal immigration and an attitude in both partys that sovereign borders are no longer essential but mere luxury to be dismantled by soft presidents and willing senators.

Wow, great write up, Angel. Stouty made reference to it and I am so glad. I wouldn’t have wanted to miss reading it!
I used to snowmobile up there but never again. I won’t spend one cent in their country, especially in Quebec. It’s a shame, because along the border there are a lot of small “mom and pop” businesses that used to do well by cross border recreational snowmobilers from the state. But many (most?) of the folks I ride with in the winter have re-planned their winter adventures (summer, too!) to remain within the confines of our country. Until their withering wallets begin to reignite some inkling of intelligence politically (nobody holding their breath here), we are very happy to explore the beauty on our side of the border!
“There’s no place like home, there’s no place like home, there’s no….”

Such dichotomic, simplistic views as those expressed on this board are a good example of why there is so much antiamericanism in Québec. Do you people really need to be forever pitted in a battle of “good vs. evil”, “us and them”, etc.? Listen, Québec is a peaceful people, we have advanced beyond such issues as war, hatred and discrimiNATION. Make love, not war, you should’ve listened to the hippies. Then you’ll be cool like us.
Pis sinon, ben mangez d’la marde, gang de caves!

just imagine how canada could be wonderful and magic without us?
CANADA IS NOT MY COUNTRY
Frenchmen came from France
To exterminate indians
Satisfy their appetite for genocide
They proliferated like vermin
So today we are millions
Dreaming of destruction
Waiting for secession
Preparing the final assault
To avenge the plains of Abraham insult
Dreaming of pogroms and referendums
Reading Mein Kampf and Lionel Groulx’ anthology
Not giving a shit about the right of minorities
To ignore our half-dead tongue, you know we’re wrong
Why don’t you open your eyes
And you will see that Canada is not our country
How do you want me to identify
With a country where human rights are king
An open minded land where multi-culturism is the thing
Don’t you see my heart is full of hatred
Retrograde ideas, racist beliefs
There is no place there for a maple leaf
Between two mouthfulls of pea soup
I count my munitions, I polish my .22
I wanna crush this miserable beaver under my thumb
Strangle ministers, wear brown shirts, plant bombs
I like the sound of the boots in the military march
And the Parti Québécois membership cards
Why don’t you set me free, why don’t you see
That Canada is not my country
Canada, Canada
Canada is not my country
